Born wild and free on an ECape cattle farm, Lynne’s World has always been intimately connected to the plant, animal and water kingdoms. She never lost her unwavering focus on becoming a Veterinarian, graduating from UP Onderstepoort faculty after first completing a B.Mus Hons. in Piano (UCT). Qualifying as a PADI Dive Master in 2009, Lynne contributed to removing shark cartilage from animal joint-care products in SA.
Growing up in a beekeeping household on the farm created the foundation and platform now expressing through her involvement with the Honey Judge’s Guild – South Africa.
Alongside her always-passionate full-time veterinary career in Private Practice, Lynne is currently a SABIO Member, SBA member, SAMMA Member and Mead Master, HJG Learner Judge, Urban beekeeper GP880, and proudest mom and wife. Tim and Lynne have twin daughters, five dogs, three cats, a bunny, and the dizzy Life that goes with balancing all of these.
Reading a Scientifically-peer reviewed Veterinary Journal article, published by Cornell University, sparked the interest in treating multiple injured patients with honey on their severe wounds, and then photographing the healing progress. This presentation is a summary of three years of collated material simply showing the path of wound healing with honey.
